We’ve all seen the screenshots.
“Want your Clickbank account to look like THIS?!?”
Then there is an image of a Clickbank screen showing bars that depict $1000+ days – every day of the week.
I think it’s safe to say that anyone would like to see those kind of bars whenever they log into Clickbank. The problem with these ads is that they are usually touting some kind of “get rich quick” program or push-button solution that will allow you to make money in your sleep or while you’re sitting on the beach sipping margaritas.
Ah the good life. Not having to lift a finger and getting filthy rich.
There’s only one problem.
It’s not going to happen.
If you want to be successful in online marketing, one of the first things that you need to wrap your head around is that it’s going to take work.
If you’re completely new to it all, it’s going to take a LOT of work.
One of the reasons people struggle to make any money online is that there are so many pieces to the “puzzle”. Keyword research, SEO, copywriting, traffic generation… it goes on and on.
It can be easy to get caught up in one aspect of online business and lose focus on the big picture. The reality is that you only need to focus on one thing in the beginning.
Solving problems.
If you can provide the solution to someone’s problem online with a well-researched and written information product, you will start to move those little bars on Clickbank. Maybe not $1000+ a day – but the bars will move.
I have several of these simple little information products online that solve a myriad of problems for people desperate for solutions. They each make $10-$50 a day. Every single day.
I didn’t build my online businesses with any push-button solutions. I don’t generally sit on the beach and sip margaritas (I prefer lager) and I had to work hard to get each and every one of them to the point of being a true source of passive income.
It took me a long time to realize that there was no “secret” to making money on the internet.
It wouldn’t make for a very compelling sales page if it had a headline that said something like “Discover How You Need To Actually Do Some Work To Be Successful Online”.
What sells is magic bullets, secret loopholes and blackhat tricks.
The irony is that the people who are selling these products are using the strategy I’ve mentioned.
They are solving people’s problems.
People are sick of their jobs and dream of sitting around in their pajamas and making money from the comfort of their own home. “Buy this product and your problems will be solved.”
The reason I’m writing this is I don’t want you to fall for it. My goal for this site is to help you become successful online without having to buy into all the B.S.
Whatever you read here about how to make money online is based on things I actually do that work.
In future articles I’m going to talk about how I build my little online businesses from conception to launch. If you’ve never done it before, it can seem overwhelming and a bit complicated but, like anything worth doing in life, it gets easier as you repeat the process.
One of my favorite Zig Ziglar quotes is “You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.”
My entire online existence is built around this philosophy and in the coming weeks and months, you’ll see that I practice what I preach.
Follow along and you might just start seeing those little Clickbank bars move for yourself.
